PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN DAN PELATIHAN BERBASIS KOMPETENSI TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI DI PT. PINDAD (PERSERO) BANDUNG

Abstrak:

Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini menyangkut pendidikan dan pelatihan berbasis kompetensi dan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja pegawai di PT. Pindad (Persero) Bandung. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lingkungan PT. Pindad (Persero) Bandung dengan objek penelitian pegawai PT. Pindad (Persero) Bandung yang mengikuti pendidikan dan pelatihan berbasis kompetensi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran yang jelas mengenai pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan berbasis kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai PT. Pindad (Persero). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif serta ditunjang dengan studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode angket tertutup yang didukung dengan metode dokumentasi dan wawancara. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 111 orang yaitu keseluruhan pegawai PT. Pindad (Persero) yang mengikuti pendidikan dan pelatihan berbasis kompetensi dan untuk sampel berjumlah 53 orang pegawai. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan melalui tahapan yakni menentukan alat pengumpul data, menyusun alat pengumpulan data, uji coba alat pengumpul data, pelaksanaan pengumpulan data. Pengolahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode statistik dengan dibantu aplikasi program Microsoft Excel 2007 dan SPSS for Windows 17.0. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan rumus Weight Means Score (WMS), gambaran umum variabel X (Diklat Berbasis Kompetensi) berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan skor rata-rata 2,36. Dan gambaran umum variabel Y (Kinerja Pegawai) berada pada kategori sangat baik, dengan skor rata-rata 2,39. Korelasi variabel X dan Y memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,872 yang ada pada kategori sangat kuat dan signifikan, dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 76,03%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian statistik secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara pendidikan dan pelatihan berbasis kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai di PT. Pindad (Persero) Bandung. Pendidikan dan pelatihan berbasis kompetensi perlu dilaksanakan secara kontinyu serta perlu didukung pula dengan sarana pelatihan yang memadai agar pelaksanaan diklat dapat lebih efektif dan efisien serta menarik minat pegawai untuk meningkatkan kinerja demi tercapainya tujuan individu dan organisasi yang lebih baik. This research was conducted within the PT. Pindad (Persero)Bandung with the object of research employee PT. Pindad (Persero) Bandung who participate in competency-based education and training. The purpose of this research is to obtained the actual description of the effect of competency-based education and training on employee performance in PT. Pindad (Persero). This research using descriptive method with quantitative approach and supported by bibliography study. Data collection techniques using the enclosed questionnaire method supported with documentation and interview methods. Population in this research amounted 111 people is the overall employees of PT. Pindad (Persero) who follow a competency-based education and training and for the total sample of 53 employees. Data processing techniques performed through the stages of determine the data collection tool, collate of data collection tool, trials a data collection tool, implementation of data collection. Processing the data in this research using a statistical method with the assistance of the program application Microsoft Excel 2007 and SPSS for Windows 17.0. Based on calculations by using the formula Weight Means Score (WMS), an overview of the variables X (Competency-Based Education and Training) is in excellent category with an average score of 2.36. And an overview of the variable Y (Employee Performance) is in excellent category, with an average score of 2.39. Correlation of variables X and Y have a positive and significant relationship. This can be seen from the correlation coefficient is 0.872 which is in the category of very strong and significant, with a coefficient of determination equal to 76.03%. Based on the results of statistical tests we can conclude that there is a positive and significant effect between competency-based education and training on employee performance in PT. Pindad (Persero) Bandung. Competency-based education and training should be carried out continuously and need to be supported with adequate training facilities for the implementation of the training can be more effective and efficient and to attract employee to improve performance in order to achieve individual and organizational goals better.
