EFEKTIVITAS ASSERTIVE TRAINING DALAM MENANGANI KORBAN CYBERBULLYING : Penelitian Eksperimen Kuasi terhadap Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Bandung Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014

Abstrak:

ABSTRAK Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh dampak negatif cyberbullying yang dialami oleh korban cyberbullying. Penelitian bertujuan menguji efektivitas assertive training dalam menangani korban cyberbullying yang dilakukan kepada tiga puluh orang siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Bandung Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen kuasi dan desain penelitian nonequivalent pretest-postest control group design. Penelitian menghasilkan: 1) gambaran umum korban cyberbullying dan karakteristik korban cyberbullying, 2) rumusan program intervensi melalui assertive training yang layak menurut pakar dan praktisi, dan 3) gambaran keefektifan assertive training dalam menangani korban cyberbullying. Rekomendasi hasil penelitian kepada: 1) sekolah untuk melakukan pemantauan; 2) konselor untuk menggunakan assertive training bagi korban cyberbullying; dan 3) peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengembangkan layanan intervensi. Kata kunci: Assertive training, cyberbullying, korban cyberbullying ABSTRACT The research is based on the negative impact of cyberbullying experienced by the cyberbullying victim. The aim of the research is examining the effectiveness of assertive training in handling the cyberbullying victim done to the thirty students of the eighth grade at SMP Negeri 5 Bandung in 2013/2014 academic year. The research approach used quantitative with quasi-experimental method and for the research design used nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research generated: 1) the general description and the characteristic of the cyberbullying victim; 2) the formula of the intervention program through the eligible assertive training according to experts and practitioners; and 3) the description of the effectiveness of the assertive training in handling the cyberbullying victim. The recommendation of research results to: 1) the school to conduct monitoring; 2) counselors to use assertive training for the cyberbullying victim; and 3) the researcher next to develop intervention services.
