EFEKTIVITAS METODE PEMBELAJARAN SNOWBALL DRILLING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KOSAKATA BAHASA ARAB

Abstrak:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan permasalahan dalam mempelajari bahasa arab, yaitu sulitnya siswa dalam menghapal kosakata bahasa Arab, dengan menggunakan Metode Pembelajaran Snowball Drilling dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab, sebagai cara untuk melatih keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan untuk mengetahui efektif atau tidaknya Metode Pembelajaran Snowball Drilling terhadap peningkatan penguasaan kosakata siswa. Dalam pelaksanaannya, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan studi eksperimen kuasi. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group design dengan melibatkan 71 siswa kelas X SMAN 11 Bandung yang terdiri dari 35 orang siswa kelas X.9 sebagai kelas kontrol dan 36 siswa kelas X.10 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang peneliti lakukan, di peroleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Arab menggunakan Metode Pembelajaran Snowball Drilling menunjukan hasil yang baik dibandingkan dengan tidak menggunakan metode ini. Terbukti dengan kenaikan rata-rata pada kedua kelompok, selisih nilai rata-rata pretest-posttest pada kelas kontrol yaitu (31,57) dan (66,29), dan terjadi peningkatan pada kelas kontrol sebesar (17,90). Selisih nilai rata-rata pretest-posttest pada kelas eksperimen yaitu (37,92) dan (84,86), terjadi peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar (27,68). Hal ini menunjukkan penggunaan metode pembelajaran Snowball Drilling efektif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan kosakata siswa. Terbukti dari menggunakan uji t mann whittney, menggunakan penghitungan nonparametric dengan hasil nilai sig.2tailed sebesar 0,00 < 0,05 berada di daerah penolakan Ho. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat efektivitas metode pembelajaran Snowball Drilling terhadap peningkatan kemampuan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa. Kata kunci: Metode Pembelajaran, Snowball Drilling, Kosakata This research aims to solve the problems in studying the Arabic language, which is difficult to memorize vocabulary students in Arabic language, using the Snowball Drilling Method Lessoning in Arabic learning, as the way to train active students in the learning process and to determine whether or not the Snowball Drilling Method Lessoning is effective to increase students' vocabulary. In practice, the researcher used quantitative approaches with a quasi-experimental study. Design that was used in this study is the nonequivalent control group design involving 71 students of class X SMAN 11 Bandung which consists of 35 students of class X.9 as class control and 36 students of class X.10 as a class experiment. Based on the results of the researches, then the conclusions are obtained that Lessoning Arabic Language by using Snowball Drilling Method showed good results compared by not using this method. Evidenced by the average increase both of groups, the difference in the average value of the pretest-posttest control class i.e., (31.57) and (66.29), and an increase in the control class is (17,90). Difference in the average value of the pretest-posttest experimental class i.e., (37.92) and (84.86), an enhancement in the experimental class of (27.68). This had showed that the using of Snowball Drilling Method is effective to increase students' vocabulary skills. Evident from the test t mann whittney, with nonparametric calculation, results sig.2tailed value of 0.00 <0.05. Because the results sig.2tailed is less than 0.05, then it can be concluded that the effectiveness of Snowball Drilling Method to increase the vocabulary skills in Arabic of students.
